If you’re not climbing the ladder of success, everybody loves you because you’re not competition.”
It’s a statement that rings true. Competition is always a good thing because it forces us to do our best, and attending regional or national roofing industry events is a great way for roofing contractors to learn and make progress.
“If you’re not climbing the ladder of success, everybody loves you because you're not competition.”
Participating at most roofing conferences, trade shows, and upcoming roofing events around North America are leading manufacturers of roofing materials, roofing suppliers, tool and equipment makers, roofing technology companies, home improvement lending companies, builders, and of course roofing contractors–the true VIPs and the reason why most of these regional and international roofing show events are organized in the first place.
The roofing industry is huge. In the U.S. alone, total revenues in 2022 exceeded $26 billion. As the industry has grown over the years, many regional associations have arisen.
Groups such as the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) founded in 1886, and the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) founded in 1922, were pioneers in the industry as the first organizations informing the then-scattered assortment of companies and individual roofers USA performing construction and roofing.
Many more associations and industry events, from major roofing trade shows in 2024 to regional golf tournaments were to follow, staged by groups like the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association, the Roofing Contractors Association of California, and others–all striving for the betterment of the roofing industry.
“A rising tide floats all ships”
Today, there are a plethora of valuable events for professional roofers to attend, where they can gain insights into their growing industry. While almost all of these events bring together contractors from near and far, and ”competitors” in whatever local markets they might share, it is important to recognize that a rising tide floats all ships, as the saying goes. The fact is that competitive conditions within a burgeoning industry benefit all participants.
At the following events, roofing contractors learn new ways of generating qualified leads, running their business more efficiently through management and technology insights, and sharing their challenges and opportunities with peers in order to discover what’s working best for those who are succeeding.
Check event websites for updates throughout the year!
No doubt, roofing contractors are busy professionals most of the year, but attending one or two key industry events in your local area can open your eyes to new and better ways of reaching qualified customers, and streamlining your business for better efficiency and profitability.
This list is by no means complete, as there are numerous regional events we might have missed! So do your research and try to schedule at least one event in 2024. We know you’ll pick up some great tips and tricks…and become and join the ranks of roofing industry leaders!
